The UP series combines multiple design innovations into a well integrated, high-performance package. Many of the breakthroughs targeted airend performance – a critical component in air compressor system efficiency. Closely coupling the airend with the separator on the SSR UPSeries provided several notable improvements. Among other benefits, the closely coupled design eliminates discharge piping, and the possibility of leaky connections, helping you avoid unnecessary maintenance. In addition, the resulting reduction in pressure loss improves overall system efficiency. Other efficiency gains have been made by integrating the coolant filter, separator, and thermostatic valve in a combination manifold. This arrangement further eliminates the possibility of leaks and simplifies maintenance.\

Capacity control of the compressor is regulated by the Intellisys microprocessor controller and an electric stepper motor. Since there are no pressure switches to adjust and very few moving parts, the SSR 2-stage can maintain plant air pressure without constant attention.
